British Foreign Office: supply of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine does not lead to nuclear escalation

0views

The British Foreign Office believes that the supply of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine does not lead to a nuclear escalation of the conflict.

The corresponding statement was made on March 22 by the head of the British Foreign Office, James Cleverley.

This is reported by the British TV channel.

Statement by the British Foreign Secretary

Commenting on the decision of the British Ministry of Defense to supply depleted uranium shells to Ukraine, Cleverly said that this is how London helps Ukraine defend itself and that there is no threat to Russia in this.

There is no nuclear escalation. The only country in the world that talks about nuclear issues is Russia, – said the head of British diplomacy.

Let us recall that yesterday British Deputy Defense Minister Annabelle Goldie announced the supply of Challenger tanks and ammunition containing depleted uranium to Ukraine.

The Russian Embassy in the UK warned London against supplying depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine, warning that this could escalate the conflict and that the use of such shells would affect the health of the local population.
