What did the head of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry call for?

The minister emphasized that the European Union will support Ukraine as long as necessary.

At the same time, she noted that the European Union needs to openly discuss the real state of affairs and not create expectations, which will later become disappointments.

There are already too many examples in our European history, we must not repeat the mistakes of the past, – said the head of Bulgarian diplomacy.

As reported, on November 8, the European Commission recommended that the EU Council begin negotiations on the admission of Ukraine, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the community, as well as granting candidate status to Georgia.

This was announced by the President of the European Commission, Ursula fond der Leyen, presenting the annual report on the expansion of the community.

According to her, if the EC’s recommendations are approved at the EU summit in December, negotiations with Ukraine could start in March next year.

Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl called the EC’s recommendation to begin negotiations with Ukraine on its accession to the EU surrealism.

According to EUobserver, Austria, Hungary and France do not want to see Ukraine in the EU.
