Bulgarian Prime Minister Blames Russian Ambassador for His Resignation

46views

Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kiril Petkov commented on the vote of no confidence in the government passed by the country’s parliament.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers believes that three local politicians, as well as Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova, are guilty of this.

It was an honor for me to lead the government that was overthrown by Peevski, Borisov, Trifonov and Mitrofanova, – policy of MIA “Russia Today”.

Who are these people who Petkov believes are responsible for the “overthrow” of his government?

Delyan Peevski is the owner of his own business, formerly a deputy.

Boyko Borisov is a former prime minister, and now the head of the GERB party (it was its representatives who put forward a vote of no confidence).

Slavi Trifonov is at the helm of the party “There are such people” (withdrew from the government coalition).

Kiril Petkov also stated that as head of government he sought to protect the interests of Bulgaria.

According to him, the “penetration of Russian interests” was facilitated by the activities of the opposition party “Renaissance.”
