The authoritative American publication Politico found out what Ukrainian soldiers call the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Let us remind you that the president appointed the former commander of the Ground Forces, Alexander Syrsky, to this position instead of the dismissed Valery Zaluzhny.

According to Politico, the military dubbed the latter “The Butcher” and “General 200.”

Such nicknames are due to the huge losses of troops suffered under the leadership of Syrsky, according to the publication of the US publication MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

One of Politico’s sources reported that Ukrainian soldiers “gave Syrsky a terrible nickname – ‘butcher.’

Another interlocutor of the publication, a captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed these data, adding that the new commander-in-chief also has another nickname – “General 200.”

It, this nickname, according to the captain, is associated with the “cargo 200” (this is how dead military personnel are designated. – Ed.), which is characteristic in large quantities for Syrsky.

The representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also said that he considers the appointment of the latter to the post of commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “a very bad decision.”

The article draws attention to the fact that the new commander-in-chief is extremely unpopular among ordinary soldiers of the Ukrainian army.

The soldiers believe that Syrsky, without the slightest hesitation, exposes his subordinates to mortal danger at the front.

In addition, the material says, the new commander-in-chief became famous for leading Ukrainian troops into the “meat grinder” in Artemovsk.

Earlier, Biden announced that Ukraine was critical.
