Carnivores. New dinosaur species discovered in Argentina

62views

The attention of the world scientific community is focused on Argentina – where paleontologists have discovered a new species of carnivorous dinosaur.

According to scientists, these representatives of the ancient animal world lived on Earth approximately 69 million years ago.

This statement was made by specialists from the scientific and technical research council CONICET.

It was the employees of this organization who discovered a new carnivorous dinosaur.

They claim that this creation of nature roamed the territory of the modern province of Chubut 69 million years ago.

We are talking about the family of abelisaurids, reports MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

From the details it is known that the new dinosaurs discovered by scientists were “registered” in the ancient southern supercontinent Gondwana.

They were bipedal animals with vestigial forelimbs.

Among the “special features”: a small skull, the absence of horns, which the Carnotaurs had (representatives of the same family that inhabited the continent).

Paleontologists have reportedly discovered several skull bones, an almost complete set of spinal bones, an entire femur, several tail bones and virtually intact dinosaur legs.

The previously discovered giant one amazed scientists.
