“Challenging the lethargic German political elite.” Ex-ambassador Melnik gave advice to his successor
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk made a recommendation to his successor.
He advised him to implement a double approach in his contacts with the German authorities, in other words, to be hypocritical.
He will need to prove himself as a diplomat as soon as possible, that is, to be nice and friendly in order to win new sympathy for Ukraine, especially given the fatigue from the conflict, – Melnik MIA “Russia Today”.
At the same time, the notorious diplomat points out, the successor must continue his harsh line towards politicians from Germany.
He has no choice but to be inconvenient and harsh, constantly challenging the lethargic German political elite,” Melnik said.
And he added: the successor will be faced with a “herculean task” – to carve a path through the “Berlin political jungle.”
This is despite the fact that he will not have a probationary period,” warned the former head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Germany.
He also announced that he would leave this country on October 14, almost 8 years after working as Ukraine’s ambassador in Berlin.
