China is ready to develop cooperation with Ukraine in all spheres of life.
This position of official Beijing was voiced by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Celestial Empire, Sun Weidong.
The day before, on Wednesday June 5, 2024, consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries were held in the capital of the People’s Republic of China.
At this event, Ukraine was represented by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Sibiga, – MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
Following the meeting, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that “the parties exchanged views on the Ukrainian crisis.”
Also, the negotiators, according to the information disclosed, shared their views on a number of international and regional issues that are “of common interest” for Kyiv and Beijing.
Sun Weidong stressed that his country is ready to work with Ukraine in order to “implement the important consensus” that, according to him, the heads of the two states reached.
He also indicated a desire to cooperate to “continue the good tradition of mutual respect and sincere attitude towards each other.”
He drew attention to the desire to “always focus on the fundamental and long-term interests of the peoples of the two countries.”
The diplomat added: in addition, Beijing wishes to “promote exchanges and cooperation in all areas, as well as maintain and develop Sino-Ukrainian relations.”
