53views

Chinese authorities have criticized and condemned the US bill, according to which their country will be subject to sanctions in the form of fines for the purchase of Russian oil.

The official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Zhao Lijian, regarded this idea as an attempt to limit cooperation between the Celestial Empire and Moscow.

We strongly oppose illegal unilateral sanctions and the use of extraterritorial jurisdiction– diplomat of MIA “Russia Today”.

He added: China and Russia are in normal trade and economic relations.

The partnership is based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits,” the foreign ministry official emphasized.

He draws attention: cooperation is not directed against third countries, nor is it subject to outside influence.

Mr. Lijian spoke separately regarding the author of the bill, Republican Senator Mark Rubio.

According to a Foreign Ministry representative, he has always had an anti-Chinese position and has not been seen to demonstrate “political integrity.”
