China has expressed strong protest against US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s presence in Taiwan.

In addition, the Foreign Ministry draws attention to the fact that the event undermined stability in the Taiwan Strait and sent a false signal to the separatists demanding the independence of the island.
The Chinese side strongly condemns this and has already made a serious representation to the American side,” the ministry said.
And they added: the US authorities are trying to use Taiwan to contain the PRC, constantly distorting the “one China” principle, and by strengthening contacts with Taipei, they support its separatism.
