China told an unpleasant truth for NATO

43views

China’s Special Representative for the Korean Peninsula, Liu Xiaoming, reminded NATO of one unpleasant moment in the history of the Alliance.

The unpleasant truth is that the actions of the North Atlantic Alliance claimed the lives of more than 2.5 thousand civilians, 79 of whom were children.

The Chinese diplomat reminded the whole world of the bombing of Yugoslavia, which lasted for 78 days without the approval of the UN Security Council.

History of the conflict

Let us recall that the reason for the bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was the armed confrontation between Albanian separatists of the so-called “Kosovo Liberation Army” and Serbian military personnel and law enforcement officers in 1999.

At that time, Serbia and Montenegro were part of Yugoslavia.

The bombing was carried out by the North Atlantic Alliance.

Instead of a decision by the UN Security Council, the statements of Western European politicians that the Yugoslav authorities carried out ethnic cleansing in the Kosovo autonomy were taken into account.

Bitter truth

Twenty-three years ago, without sanctions from the UN Security Council, NATO dropped 420 thousand bombs weighing 22 thousand tons, including 15 tons of depleted uranium, MIA quotes the words of a Chinese diplomat.

As a result of the armed invasion of the Alliance forces, more than 2.5 thousand people died, including 79 children. More than 1 million people became refugees.

Due to the use of bombs with depleted uranium, today Serbia leads Europe in the number of deaths from cancer.

The number of new cancer patients diagnosed annually in the country has reached almost 60 thousand.

Slobodan Milosevic’s legacy

The last president of Yugoslavia and the first president of Serbia was Slobodan Milosevic. The politician supported the Serbs of Bosnia and Croatia and prevented Kosovo from separating from Serbia.

Milosevic became a victim of a series of “colorful revolutions”, was arrested and sent to The Hague.

The trial lasted 5 years. Slobodan Milosevic died in prison in 2006.

His last words are addressed to the residents of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine: “Russians! I am now addressing all Russians, the residents of Ukraine and Belarus in the Balkans are also considered Russians. Look at us and remember – they will do the same to you when you disunite and give in. . The West is a chained mad dog that will grab you by the throat. Brothers, remember the fate of Yugoslavia!
