China has taken the initiative to convene a new conference on the peaceful resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
But this must be an event that is recognized by both warring parties, that is, Kyiv and Moscow.
This statement was made public by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting of the heads of BRICS foreign affairs agencies in Nizhny Novgorod.
China stands for the timely convening of a real peace conference, which is recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, with equal participation of all parties and an honest discussion of all peace plans, – Wang Yi news agency MIA “Russia Today”.
By the way, at the mentioned meeting, the minister from the Middle Kingdom met with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov.
The latter thanked his interlocutor for Beijing’s decision not to send its representatives to the Swiss conference.
According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the event in the Alpine country does not provide for equal participation of Moscow and fair consideration of all peace proposals and current realities.
Previously, 90 states participated in the Ukrainian summit in Switzerland.
