The inspection will begin this year, and sanctions will be applied to violators, reports.
At the initial stage, violating developers will be warned of the consequences by the PRC Cyberspace Administration.
However, the possibility of suspending the operation of the mobile application cannot be ruled out.
Mainly, the government regulator will inspect software developments for hidden threats to data security.
The decision to check arose after the Chinese government changed the requirements for the operation of online platforms.
It is understood that first of all attention will be paid to platforms with more than one million users.
The Chinese government’s decision on mobile application verification rules was published on January 5.
The Chinese regulations will come into force on February 15.
