He compared the United States to an athlete who, while participating in an Olympic race, instead of giving his all, tries to trip up his competitor.

This is not fair competition, but malicious confrontation and foul, Qin Gang said.

China’s top diplomat stressed that such competition is a reckless adventure in which the fundamental interests of peoples and even the future of humanity are at stake, and that China is categorically against it.

Qin Gang also said that Washington’s policies aimed at containing and suppressing China will not be able to stop its revival and will not make the United States “great again.”
