American billionaire Elon Musk last year thwarted an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian Navy.
This is reported by the American television channel CNN, citing a biography of Musk written by Walter Isaacson.

According to CNN, Musk secretly ordered the shutdown of Starlink satellite Internet off the coast of Crimea in order to disrupt the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Russian fleet.
It is clarified that the entrepreneur feared Russia would use nuclear weapons in response to this attack.
The TV channel notes that due to the Starlink shutdown, Ukrainian underwater drones with explosives lost contact and were washed ashore.

Earlier, the American edition of The New York Times reported that Musk refused the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ request to turn on Starlink in the Crimea region.
Musk himself previously stated that he would not allow Starlink to be used for an escalation that could lead to a third world war.
Isaacson’s biography of Musk will be released on September 12. Isaacson has previously written biographies of Albert Einstein and Steve Jobs.
