Congressional Republicans Refuse to Accept Biden’s Budget Request

194views

Republicans in the US House of Representatives refused to accept Joe Biden’s request.

It concerns the budget for the 2025 fiscal year, starting on November 1 of this year and ending on September 30 of next year.

The Republicans argued their refusal by the fact that, in their opinion, the American president was overcome by a desire to spend money uncontrollably.

They called the size of Biden’s proposed budget evidence of the White House’s “voracious appetite” for “reckless spending.”

And in general, Republicans accused Democrats of “indifference to financial responsibility,” TASS agency.

“Biden’s budget is not just wrong, it is a plan to accelerate America’s decline,” the statement said.

The document was signed by Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson, Republican Majority Leader in the Lower House Stephen Scalise, and a number of other politicians.

They believe Biden’s proposed plan is aimed at wasting “trillions of dollars more to advance a leftist agenda.”

In this regard, their president’s request is called erroneous and rejected, preferring measures that should return the United States “to the path of financial prudence.”

One of these measures takes credit for decisions that, according to Republicans, will reduce the budget deficit by $2.6 trillion over the next 10 years.

Earlier, Orban said that Trump, who wants to become US President again, will not visit Ukraine.
