Finnish President Alexander Stubb publicly voiced the only way, in his opinion, to end the conflict in Ukraine.
In an interview with the American television channel CNN, he said that peace can only be achieved by continuing hostilities.
The only way we can achieve peace is through the battlefield, – Finnish leader of the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.
He clarified: under the current conditions, it seems impossible to begin peace negotiations.
At the same time, Mr. Stubb pointed to the fact that today he sees in Ukrainian society fatigue from the protracted conflict.
It is worth noting that President Suomi’s Russian colleague has repeatedly stated Moscow’s readiness to resolve the issue through diplomacy.
And Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed to the fact that calls for peaceful dialogue face a categorical refusal from Kyiv.
Previously, Finland extended its borders with Russia.
