Cuba rebelled. There is a state of emergency on Liberty Island

3views

For the first time in many years, mass protests are taking place in Cuba. Local residents opposed the ruling Communist Party.

Due to the current situation, a state of emergency has been declared on Liberty Island.

According to Internet sources citing both local and Western media, the military is now in Havana, and additional units of the national security forces have been deployed there.

At the same time, rallies in support of the current government are also taking place across the country.

As for her opponents, they demand that “free elections” be organized, as well as social problems be resolved.

In addition, protesters express dissatisfaction with the government’s actions in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

At the moment, there have been no reports of casualties in the clashes. By the way, protests are taking place not only in the capital – in many cities of the country.

Earlier, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel called on supporters of the country’s leadership to take to the streets to resist provocations, which, according to him, were organized by “counter-revolutionary mercenaries.”
