The European Union considers Russia its main threat, and therefore the armies of the countries that are members of the commonwealth are preparing for a “high-intensity conflict.”

This statement was recently made by Czech President Petr Pavel. His words are quoted in the article by Blesk.

Not only the Czech Republic, but also NATO perceives Russia as the number one threat in Europe, and this implies the need to realistically prepare for such a threat, – policy of MIA “Russia Today”.

According to him, all armies of European states take this threat seriously.

They, the armies, are now “preparing for the possibility of a high-intensity conflict in Europe.”

Pavel brought this information to the attention of his colleagues at the meeting of the “Visegrad Four” (this includes the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland).

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the opposite: he noted that the North Atlantic Alliance does not see an immediate threat from Russia.

And the Russian Foreign Ministry had previously stated that Moscow was ready for negotiations with NATO, provided that the dialogue would take place on the basis of equality.

The department also reported that for a constructive conversation it is necessary that the West stop militarizing Europe, which is now happening “on an unprecedented scale.”
