“Czech Republic against poverty.” Thousands of people protested in Prague

A protest rally of many thousands took place in the center of Prague – those who gathered on Saturday at Wenceslas Square spoke out against poverty and rising prices.

The rally was organized by the extra-parliamentary party “Pravo. Respect. Professionalism”.

The event was held under the slogan “The Czech Republic against poverty,” TASS agency.

People very sharply criticized the actions of the current government and demanded that measures be taken to stop rising prices.

And some of the protesters held posters calling for peace in Ukraine.

According to police representative Violeta Sirzhishteva, law enforcement officers detained a man with stripes on his clothes in the form of the letter Z and the symbol of the Wagner PMC.

It is reported that criminal charges may be filed against the man.

And after the end of the action, several hundred of its participants headed to the building of the National Museum.

Some tried to get inside in order to remove the Ukrainian flag hanging on the facade.

Police special forces stood on their way to the building. Clashes broke out, as a result of which two law enforcement officers were injured and 18 people were detained.
