Daily Mail: Boris Johnson could become UK Prime Minister again

34views

Boris Johnson could once again lead the UK government thanks to a plan from a group of Conservative MPs.

The British edition of the Daily Mail reports this, citing Tory parliamentarians.

What plan are Tory MPs preparing?

According to the report, Tory MPs opposed to the current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak are trying to destabilize his position due to the removal of Home Secretary Suella Braverman and the resignation of her deputy on immigration Robert Jenrick after disagreements over immigration policy.

Conservatives are concerned about declining ratings and the growing popularity of Nigel Farage’s Reform the UK party.

According to the publication, many Tories believe that only Johnson’s return will save their party from defeat in the elections.

One of the plan’s supporters admitted that he wants to destroy Sunak’s government and install as prime minister someone who can close the gap with Labor.

Johnson could return to the post of prime minister in accordance with the amazing plans hatched by Tory MPs – the publication says.

The Daily Mail notes that Tory MPs are even considering an alliance between Johnson and Farage. However, the representative of the former prime minister denies the existence of such plans.

According to a survey by consultancy Redfield & Wilton Strategies, the Tories trail Labor by 19%.

Tory support fell to its lowest level since March following the sacking of Braverman, a government reshuffle and a decision on a plan to deport refugees to Rwanda.

It was previously reported that Sunak plans to repeal a key human rights law to implement a plan to deport refugees to Rwanda. Difficulties in sending migrants to Rwanda arose after a recent Supreme Court decision found such deportations illegal. Sunak reshuffled the government, firing Braverman, who advocated tightening immigration policy.
