The SBT electoral debate for candidates for Mayor of São Paulo, held this Friday (20), will have Pablo Marçal (PRTB) and José Luiz Datena (PSDB) separated by only one man, Guilherme Boulos (PSOL). The order of the pulpits was decided by lot and was not changed.
In the center will be presenter César Filho. To his right and, therefore, to the left of the video, will be Datena, Boulos and Marçal.
On the other side of the presenter will be Tabata Amaral (PSB), Ricardo Nunes (MDB) and Marina Helena (Novo).
Unlike other debates, the candidates’ personal security guards were authorized to enter the studio and will be able to appear there during the program.
Marçal’s campaign also asked SBT to record the debate full time with an open camera, which the broadcaster complied with.
The video will be provided to candidates after the meeting, according to campaign sources interviewed by CNN.
Even SBT security guards, a reinforced team for the debate, will be closer to the candidates, reducing the time for possible intervention — a preventive measure taken by the broadcaster after the chair attack episode recorded last Sunday (15), in the TV Cultura debate.
This time, dressing rooms will also not force candidates to meet. They are in more distant locations.
Marçal’s dressing room is close to Marina Helena’s, but still a considerable distance away.
At another point are Datena and Tabata’s dressing rooms. Boulos and Nunes are more isolated.
