French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the actions of the United States related to gas pricing.
In this regard, the head of the European state accused Washington of double standards.
He explained his position by the fact that gas in the United States is much cheaper than in European countries.
At the same time, the French leader noted that he respects the “attractive choice” that the American economy has made.
But this gives rise to double standards – when American energy prices are much cheaper than ours, because the United States is an energy producer, Macron MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
The president announced the figures he has: the overseas power, they testify, sells its gas 3-4 times cheaper than to Europeans.
In his opinion, “this is double standards.” He announced this at a press conference following the EU summit in Brussels.
And he added: he plans to discuss this issue during his December visit to the United States. Macron is expected to visit this country on December 1-2.
