Early parliamentary elections are being held in Armenia. Who claims to win

Today, June 20, citizens of Armenia elect deputies to parliament.

The elections are early. They were appointed after Nikol Pashinyan left the post of prime minister amid the political crisis in the country.

According to data as of 10:00 Belarusian time, turnout in the elections exceeded 12 percent, news agencies reported.

However, the elections are recognized as valid regardless of this indicator.

The total number of parties and blocs registered to participate in the elections is 25.

Among them is the political force of Nikol Pashinyan “Civil Contract”.

Who claims to win

The main contenders for victory in the parliamentary elections are Nikol Pashinyan’s party, as well as the Armenia bloc, which is headed by former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan.

According to the latest sociological survey data, 22.9 percent of citizens planning to go to the polling stations are ready to vote for the political strength of the acting Prime Minister of Armenia.

17.5 percent of respondents are ready to vote for the Armenia alliance.
