Early parliamentary elections began in Moldova today, July 11. They were scheduled for this Sunday after parliament was dissolved.

It is known that by nine o’clock in the morning (the time coincides with Belarusian time) about seven percent of voters had voted.

This figure was announced by the Central Election Commission of the Republic based on the results of an operational analysis of interim data.

According to local media, the main struggle took place between the Communists and Socialists bloc of Igor Dodon and Vladimir Voronin and the Action and Solidarity Party.

The latter was previously led by the current President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

In total, two dozen parties, two blocs and one independent candidate are participating in the early elections.

Let us add that the Chairman of the Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, called for voting for those politicians who are ready and able to ensure the country’s independence and sovereignty.

I voted for a team of statists and professionals who have already shown how they can overcome crisis situations in the Republic of Moldova, including political, economic, financial and social crises – Greceani TASS agency.

She expressed hope that in the future the same team will be in the government.

I hope that the parliament will be governed by parties that will not, under someone’s influence, call on the citizens of Moldova to be friends with someone against someone,” added the head of parliament.
