Several earthquakes happened last night. One of them is on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China.

According to seismologists in Kyrgyzstan, the power of the “earth tremor” was about seven points.

The earth trembled here at 00 hours 09 minutes on January 23 (21 hours 09 minutes on January 22 Belarusian time).

According to MIA Rossiya Segodnya, experts say that the epicenter of this earthquake was located on Chinese territory, near the border with Kyrgyzstan.

The distance from Bishkek is 339 kilometers. And in the settlements closest to the epicenter, the strength of the tremors was about 5 points.

By the way, the impact of the disaster was felt by residents of Kazakhstan, in particular Almaty, as well as in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.

Later, information appeared about a 5.5 magnitude earthquake in northwest China.

This was stated by specialists from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

According to them, the “trembling of the earth” took place here at 23 hours 19 minutes UTC time (02:19 Minsk time).

A natural disaster occurred 130 kilometers from the city of Aksu, whose population is 535,000 people.

Recently it became known that another earthquake occurred in China – in the Xinjiang Uyghur region.

The power of the tremors was 7.1 points. This was followed by 43 aftershocks – with magnitudes ranging from 3 to 5.3.

According to available information, at least 6 people were injured as a result of the latest earthquake, two in serious condition.

In addition, 47 houses in the region were completely destroyed and 78 were damaged.

It was previously reported that the number of earthquakes in Japan has increased.
