Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo made an important statement.
He informed the general public about the environmental disaster in the lower reaches of the Dnieper, which occurred after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
The lower part of the Dnieper is now in a state of eco-catastrophe, because there are a lot of birds that, without understanding, grab the fish that have suffocated and carry it further, – civil servant of MIA “Russia Today”.
According to him, everything that is now in the Dnieper River is carried into the Black Sea, the currents of which refer to the shores of Odessa, Romania and Bulgaria.
There may also be serious environmental problems associated with water contamination, the official warned.
He also said that below the destroyed hydroelectric power station, the Dnieper entered its banks, but the buildings located there received serious damage.
Saldo noticed that his house was also in the flood zone, like the lower part of Kherson.
My house is located on Quarantine Island, where, in fact, shipbuilding enterprises are located, everything is flooded there too,” he said.
And then he expressed the following opinion: the Ukrainian Armed Forces are deliberately shelling evacuation points for residents of the Kherson region affected by the flood.
At the same time, Saldo assures: the one who ordered to “finish off the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station” will not be able to escape punishment.
