Emergency at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant: one of the high-voltage lines went offline

Recently it became known about a serious incident at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The 330 kV backup high-voltage power supply line there was switched off.

The TASS agency reported on the incident with reference to the press service of this nuclear power plant.

Representatives of the latter noted that the outage occurred on the morning of April 4 at 10:60 a.m. (Belarusian time).

We are talking about the high-voltage power supply line 330 kV “Ferosplavnaya-1”. Experts are investigating what caused the outage.

The Zaporizhzhya NPP claims that the radiation background at the station and the surrounding area has not changed.

It is at a level corresponding to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed natural background natural values, the station’s press service informed.

It is known that currently the 330 kV high-voltage power supply line “Ferosplavnaya-1” is the only backup line at Zaporozhye NPP.

Earlier it became known that the number of victims as a result in Taiwan has increased.
