Erdogan promised to continue to ensure security on the republic’s borders against the backdrop of “attacks being carried out.”
New operations will soon be launched on our borders, and appropriate decisions will be made at a meeting of the Security Council, – the Turkish leader of the Rossiya Segodnya news agency.
He also said that Ankara plans to complete the creation of a security zone at the southern borders of Turkey with a depth of 30 kilometers.
Erdogan added: the military operation will begin immediately after the preparation of the country’s armed forces, intelligence and security forces is completed.
He promised to make relevant decisions next Thursday, May 26, following the meeting of the Security Council.
