Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called Israel a terrorist state.

The Turkish head of state made this statement on November 15, speaking in parliament.

What Erdogan said about Israel

The Turkish leader called Israel a terrorist state and Hamas a legitimate political force in Gaza.

He stressed that Ankara will continue to work to ensure that the world recognizes Israel as a terrorist state.

Genocide awaits us in Gaza. Now hundreds of lawyers are appealing to the Hague court to take action against this, Erdogan said.

According to him, as a result of the conflict in the Middle East, Israel will be disappointed, just as Armenia was earlier in the Karabakh war.

The Turkish President said Ankara intends to contact by telephone the 41 countries that abstained during the United Nations General Assembly vote on the Gaza ceasefire resolution to persuade them to see the truth.

Erdogan assured that Türkiye will continue to isolate Israel and support Gaza.

We will take steps to ensure that Israel is tried in international courtsadded the head of the Turkish state.

Exacerbation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict

On October 7, the military wing of Hamas announced an operation against Israel called the Al-Aqsa Flood.

After a large-scale rocket attack from Gaza, Hamas fighters entered Israel’s southern border areas, where they opened fire on both military and civilians. More than 200 people were taken hostage.

According to the latest information from Israeli authorities, about 1,200 people have died in the country.

This number includes military, civilian, foreign nationals and workers. More than 5,000 people were injured.

In response to the Hamas attack, Israel launched Operation Iron Swords in Gaza. Within a few days, the Israeli Defense Forces took control of all border settlements and began carrying out airstrikes on Gaza.

Israel also declared a complete blockade of the enclave, blocking the supply of electricity, fuel, water, food, and medicine.

At the end of October, Israel began the ground phase of the operation in the sector. Israeli ground forces surrounded Gaza City, and the enclave was effectively divided into northern and southern parts.

Israeli strikes on Gaza killed more than 11,500 people and injured more than 29,000.
