Erdogan: Türkiye will not take sides in military conflicts

0views

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the country does not intend to take sides in military conflicts.

Erdogan stated this on March 23 in an interview with Turkish media, which was broadcast on his Twitter account.

What Erdogan said about Turkey’s position

Addressing the people, the Turkish leader assured that Türkiye would not “easily and simply” take sides in military conflicts.

Erdogan stressed that Türkiye will always advocate peace and take steps to strengthen it.

According to the head of the Turkish state, this is precisely Turkey’s task in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

He noted that Türkiye now produces all the necessary weapons itself, and recalled that in the past the country had to “beat the threshold” to get it.

God forbid, of course, but in case of war we will not depend on anyone, – added the Turkish President.
