Former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin said that the armed conflict in Israel means complete collapse for Ukraine.

According to the politician, Kyiv urgently needs to start negotiations with Moscow on a truce.

Soskin expressed this opinion on air on his YouTube channel, reports.

Why Kyiv needs to start negotiations with Moscow

Kuchma’s ex-adviser stated that the fighting between the Palestinian Hamas movement and Israel is intensifying.

Against this background, of course, a complete collapse for Ukraine, – said Soskin.

According to him, Ukraine needs to immediately lift martial law and begin negotiations with Russia on a truce.

There is no other option. A temporary truce is needed and elections must be held“, the politician added.

According to Soskin, due to the conflict in Israel, the United States may no longer provide money to continue the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

What’s happening in Israel

On October 7, the military wing of Hamas announced an operation against Israel called the Al-Aqsa Flood. Israel has been subjected to unprecedented rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, more than 3,000 shells were fired. After massive rocket attacks, Hamas fighters penetrated into the border areas in southern Israel.

The IDF responded by launching Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an address to the nation on Saturday that Israel is at war.

The Israeli Prime Minister also said that he had ordered a broad mobilization of reserves.

Today, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip.
