An F-18 Super Hornet fighter jet was blown off the deck of the American aircraft carrier Harry Truman in the Mediterranean Sea.
One serviceman was injured when the plane crashed into the sea.

The incident occurred on Friday, July 8, when the ship was replenishing water supplies in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to the US Navy, the fighter was blown off the deck of the aircraft carrier.
Due to unexpectedly severe weather conditions, – the Navy press service said in a statement.
As a result of the incident, one soldier was injured. It is clarified that his condition is assessed as stable and that there is no threat to life.
The fallen plane was recovered. It is noted that he is fully ready to continue to carry out the mission, like other aircraft and the aircraft carrier itself.
