67views

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane used to repatriate Brazilians who are in Lebanon landed in Beirut this Saturday (5), at 11:22 am (Brasília time).

After passengers have boarded, the plane will return to Lisbon, Portugal, where it will make a technical stop.

The expected arrival in Brazil is on Sunday morning (6), at the Guarulhos Air Base (SP).

The number may change, as there may be withdrawals.

Around 3,000 people requested help to leave Lebanon, which is the target of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. According to the FAB, the mission should repatriate 500 people per week.

The aircraft was scheduled to arrive in Beirut on Friday morning (4), but due to bombings near the Lebanese capital’s airport, the rescue had to be postponed.
