Farmers rioting in Poland paralyzed traffic on 500 roads in the country

192views

Protests by angry local farmers continue in Poland. On Wednesday, March 20, they blocked the entrances to Warsaw and many other major cities in the country.

Moreover, workers in the agricultural sector paralyzed traffic on the main highways connecting large populated areas.

Severe Polish farmers caused traffic jams by putting tractors and other agricultural equipment on the roads.

Thus, a nationwide protest against the import of agricultural products from Ukraine is taking place in the republic.

According to the NTV channel, local media, citing the traffic police, claim that tractors and combines have created over 500 traffic jams throughout the country.

On the border with Ukraine, protesters for some time did not even allow buses traveling both from this country and to the neighboring state to pass.

And the speaker of the Polish Sejm said that protesters dumped a huge pile of manure near his parents’ house.

It is curious that the authorities are not taking any special measures against the rioters.

Moreover, according to NTV, President Andrzej Duda supported them, believing that they were making legitimate demands.

And these demands, let us remind you, relate to a ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products and the rejection of EU environmental standards, which require a significant reduction in carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

Earlier, Biden asked whether the United States would increase its military presence in Poland.
