Starting next year, Finland will begin producing artillery shells for Ukraine.
The IltaLehti newspaper informed the general public about this, citing the head of the country’s Ministry of Defense, Antti Hyakkänen.
According to him, Helsinki has completed negotiations on how exactly Finland will produce artillery shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This decision will be made very soon, – Minister of MIA “Russia Today”.
Mr. Häkkänen specified: most likely the decision he mentioned will be made before Catholic Christmas, that is, before December 25.
In turn, the author of the publication reports that the cost of ammunition production is estimated at tens of millions of euros.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the West was “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
And according to Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov, such actions by Western countries do not contribute to a successful resolution of the issue in the negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
Moreover, Vladimir Putin’s press secretary warned, “pumping arms” into Ukraine would have negative consequences.
