Floods in Europe will be replaced by new disasters. Forecast of German scientists

0views

German scientists believe that the record floods in Europe in terms of scale and consequences over the past 100 years will be replaced by new disasters.

Experts believe extreme weather events are more likely to occur in the future. This is what causes heavy rainfall.

German meteorologists believe that heavy rainfall, like the one that caused flooding in western Germany, is a consequence of climate change.

According to scientists’ calculations, with an increase in air temperature of 1 degree Celsius, the Earth’s atmosphere begins to absorb almost 7% more moisture.

The resulting high humidity contributes to higher precipitation amounts.

Scientists no longer doubt that it was human activity that provoked such devastating consequences as flooding in Germany and abnormal heat in the USA and Canada.

Currently, scientists are studying the scale and consequences of technogenic influence on the environment.

Recall that more than 180 people died as a result of floods in Western Europe.

In Germany alone, at least 156 people became victims of the disaster. In Belgium, 27 people have been confirmed dead. More than 1,000 people are listed as missing.
