For the STF, X’s decisions will only be valid if the platform establishes a representative in Brazil | Blogs

The Federal Supreme Court has not yet been officially informed of X’s decision to comply with court orders to resume its activities in the country.

The Supreme Court’s assessment is that, to achieve this, billionaire Elon Musk’s company needs to appoint a legal representative in Brazil.

For magistrates heard by the CNNby not having an administrative representative in Brazil, X “ceased to exist” in the country.

As shown by CNN,

Musk would have agreed with the assessment and profiles that had a blocking order have been blocked since last night.

In another gesture, X petitioned the STF saying that the return of the network in the country this Wednesday (18) was due to a technical failure and was not done intentionally.

At the Supreme Court, however, there is still skepticism about Musk’s short-term retreat. The assessment is that he awaits definitions in the political scenarios both in Brazil and in the United States.

In particular, whether there will be a victory for Donald Trump and whether there would be a chance of opening impeachment proceedings against Alexandre de Moraes.

The second hypothesis will depend on the president of the Federal Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), who rules out this possibility behind the scenes.
