Forest fire in Turkey reaches thermal power plant

Forest fires that broke out across Turkey at the end of last month became a threat not only to tourist sites.

The disaster threatens the safety of a thermal power plant located in the city of Milas, Mugla province, in the western part of the country. The culprits of fires are “Children of Fire”.

“Children of Fire” is an anti-government organization that has claimed responsibility for committing arson in forests in Turkey.

With their actions, the protesters are trying to influence the “Turkish regime.”

Meanwhile, the disaster approached the local thermal power plant.

The city hall of Milas, Mugla province, made a corresponding statement the day before.

Due to the threat, it was necessary to evacuate all station employees.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations from Russia, Belarus and other countries are helping Turkish rescuers fight fires.

Let us remind you that earlier the fire reached the tourist province of Antalya. Fire damage was also reported in the resorts of Bodrum and Marmaris.

More than 40 settlements were in the disaster zone, more than 400 people were injured.
