Foretells disaster. A 5-meter herring king was caught in Chile

50views

Chilean fishermen could boast of an unusual catch, but… many were seriously scared. Something that portends great disasters was pulled out of the water.

Local residents caught a five-meter herring king. It is he who is believed to be a harbinger of terrible troubles on the planet.

For example, he was last seen shortly before the disaster in Fukushima, Japan, caused by earthquakes and tsunamis.

Who is this deep monster?

As for the current appearance of the fish, the Daily Mirror reports that a huge creature was caught near the city of Arica.

Hundreds of local residents came to see the unprecedented miracle. Someone filmed the monster on a smartphone camera – photos and videos instantly spread across the Internet.

Why do they say that the herring king portends cataclysms? The fact is that these fish live at great depths and appear on the surface extremely rarely.

For example, they emerge when they reproduce, get sick or die. That is why people meet them very rarely.

And what rarely happens is that it gives rise to superstitions. One of them is associated with major disasters such as tsunamis or earthquakes.

Harbinger of disasters

Those who believe such statements to be true, recall: in 2011, shortly before the extremely destructive earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan, which led to an emergency at a nuclear power plant, dozens of herring kings washed ashore.

Scientists say that a connection has not yet been identified between the behavior of these creatures with earthquakes and tsunamis.

But some suspect that huge fish may also float to the surface due to shifts in tectonic plates in the ocean depths.

The Arica authorities want to thoroughly study “their” herring king in order to find the reason for its appearance off the coast.

Let us add that this fish appears in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest living bony “relative” – its length can reach 9 meters.
