Former General of the North Atlantic Alliance Hans-Lothar Domrese predicted the timing of the truce in Ukraine.

According to the ex-general, a truce between Ukraine and Russia could be concluded in the summer of 2023.

The German publication reports this.

When will peace come to Ukraine?

According to Domrese’s forecasts, at the beginning of the year Moscow and Kyiv will launch new offensives to achieve their goals, but closer to the summer they will realize the futility of further military operations, and they will only have the opportunity to conclude an agreement that suits both sides.

The moment will come to negotiate a ceasefire, – the military man thinks.

He suggested that in the event of such a development, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky may abandon his plans to return Crimea and other territories.

Negotiations, according to the ex-general, will take a lot of time, but a truce will be concluded.

During 2023 we will have a truce – said Domrese.

He also expressed the opinion that United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan or Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi could act as a mediator in the negotiations.

Although no one really imposes himself, – noted the ex-general.
