Fourth repatriation flight from Lebanon arrives in Brazil with 211 passengers

Another repatriation flight from Lebanon arrived in São Paulo this Saturday (12), at 7:11 am, with 211 Brazilians and family members, including 12 infants. This is the fourth group rescued by the federal government.

In total, 885 people and 11 pets have been removed from Lebanon by Operation Cedro Roots to date. A KC-30, a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) aircraft designated for repatriation missions, has already taken off from São Paulo Air Base this Saturday to pick up the fifth group in Beirut.

Together with Itamaraty, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Health, the Federal Police and the Federal Revenue Service have been working to support passengers.

The government reiterated, in a note on Friday (11), the warning that Brazilians, who are still in Lebanon, follow the security guidelines of local authorities and, if possible, try to leave the territory by their own means. The estimate is that the Brazilian community in Lebanon is 20 thousand people.

Understand the escalation in conflicts in the Middle East
