Fox News: Ukraine may lose Poland as an ally after the elections

Kyiv may lose Warsaw as an ally after the Polish parliamentary elections.

This was reported by the American television channel Fox News.

What consequences could there be for Ukraine?

As reported, the results of today’s elections to the Polish parliament may have negative consequences for Ukraine.

It is noted that the Poles are concerned about the amount of social support in the field of healthcare, education and housing, the lack of results on the battlefield and how this will affect the Ukrainian-Russian conflict, as well as costs.

They worry about whether the US will remain powerful, – the TV channel reports.

According to Fox News, most experts believe that Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party will not receive an absolute majority in parliament and will be forced to create a coalition with the far-right Confederation, which advocates stopping aid to Ukraine.

The TV channel recalled that the stumbling block was the supply of cheap Ukrainian grain, which negatively affected Polish farmers.

Fox News also recalled that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said at the United Nations General Assembly that the political theater surrounding the export of Ukrainian grain is beneficial only to Russia, and Polish President Andrzej Duda responded by comparing Ukraine to a drowning man, dragging a rescuer to the bottom.

As reported, at the end of March, five European Union countries bordering Ukraine (Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Hungary) appealed to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, with a request to intervene in the crisis that arose due to the influx of Ukrainian grain.

The European Commission adopted temporary restrictive measures, which expired on September 15.

Poland, Slovakia and Hungary extended the embargo unilaterally, to which Ukraine responded with claims at the WTO.
