France recalled ambassadors from the US and Australia

23views

The creation of a trilateral alliance between the USA, Australia and Great Britain, as well as the termination of a major contract, became the reason for the recall of ambassadors from Australia by France.

The new international alliance was created to strengthen security and defense in the Indo-Pacific region.

However, the agreement led to Australia ending its previous $66 billion contract with France for 12 submarines.

In response to this, the French Foreign Ministry decided to recall the ambassadors from the United States and Australia to Paris for consultations.

Foreign media report that the department made this decision at the request of the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron.

The US, UK and Australia announced close cooperation in the field of security and defense in the region on September 15.

The partnership was named AUKUS – Australia, United Kingdom, United States. The alliance intends to counter China’s growing military-technological power.

In turn, Beijing noted that such cooperation seriously undermines the existing stability in the region.

The Australian Foreign Ministry has already responded to Paris’ decision, saying that the country values its relationship with its partner and looks forward to interacting with the republic in the future on a number of issues.
