French authorities require children over 6 years old to wear masks

33views

From Monday, January 3, a mask regime for children over six years of age comes into force in France.

Little Frenchies will be required to wear masks in public places.

This decision is contained in a decree published in the official French authorities, Le Journal officiel.

Let us remind you that now in this European country wearing masks is mandatory for citizens over 11 years of age.

They must wear them in public transport, in various institutions, including religious ones, in sports complexes, shops, etc.

In addition, in Paris and some other French cities, the mask regime also applies on the streets.

As for reducing the age under the mask regime to 6 years, this measure was dictated by the fact that a few days before the resumption of the school year in France, there was an increase in cases of coronavirus infection.

Thus, as of December 31, 2021, an anti-record was set in the country – 232,000 new infections.

According to the National Public Health Agency, there are 18,700 infected citizens in French hospitals.

It is known that about 53 million French people have been vaccinated so far (the country’s population is 67 million people).

As of December 30, over 24.1 million French residents had received a booster vaccine.
