General of the Polish Armed Forces: increasing the supply of Western weapons will not help Zaluzhny and the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Increasing supplies of Western weapons will not help the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, to succeed with Russia’s current military potential.

This opinion was expressed by retired Major General of the Polish Armed Forces Boguslaw Patsek.

Why increasing arms supplies will not help the Ukrainian Armed Forces

In an interview with Polish radio, the general recalled that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine openly admitted that with the current level of training of Ukrainian military personnel, supplies of Western weapons and Russian capabilities, Ukraine will not be able to achieve success.

According to Patsek, Ukrainian military personnel will not be able to effectively use Western weapons on their own, since they do not have the necessary training for this.

The military man noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could be helped by placing Western specialists in the country, but this is fraught with consequences.

There would be a risk of the outbreak of a large-scale conflict and Russian retaliation against those countries that enter into this conflict, – Patsek said.

He added that Zaluzhny made many cardinal mistakes by launching a counter-offensive,

Earlier, Zaluzhny, in an interview with the British edition of the Economist, acknowledged the deadlock at the front and said that there would most likely not be a deep and beautiful breakthrough.

The Economist notes that the West and Kyiv expected more from the counteroffensive. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in accordance with NATO textbooks, the Ukrainian army should have had four months to reach Crimea.
