One for, 35 against. No decision has been made – Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili TASS agency.

Prior to this, at a meeting of the legislative bureau, he informed that the initiators of the American version of the draft law had addressed parliamentarians.

They, according to Papuashvili, asked to withdraw the initiative, which did not reach the plenary hearings. The request was granted.

Media reports that simultaneously with the meeting, a rally was held near the parliament building.

Participants in the event responded with applause to the deputies’ decision to “fail” the draft law, which sparked mass protests in the country.
