Gerasimov heard a report from the head of the Aerospace Forces headquarters on repelling a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov heard a report from the head of the main headquarters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Viktor Afzalov.

This message was transmitted by the Russian Ministry of Defense through the official Telegram channel.

Afzalov said that the Ukrainian army had previously attempted to carry out a missile attack on Crimea, Rostov and Kaluga regions.

S-200 model missiles were used for the missile strike – they were destroyed through air defense and electronic warfare.

After hearing the report, Gerasimov instructed the responsible military personnel to find and neutralize storage sites for S-200 model missiles and other missiles of a similar type.

According to Gerasimov’s instructions, the Russian Aerospace Forces will conduct a pre-emptive strike. It was also ordered to improve the protection of facilities from air missile strikes.

The Russian Armed Forces continue to conduct a special military operation in Donbass.

So far, there have been no clear signals from Kyiv about their readiness to hold peace negotiations.
