What Burbock said about increasing aid to Ukraine

According to the minister, despite crises and conflicts in the world, assistance to Ukraine will continue.

We will not only continue to support Ukraine, but we will also develop and increase it, including from Germany, – said the head of German diplomacy.

She noted that this also applies to the announced winter aid package, within the framework of which Germany and a number of other countries have already transferred additional air defense systems to Ukraine to create a defensive umbrella.

But next year our assistance will be significantly expanded, – the head of the German Foreign Ministry clarified.

Earlier, the German publication Bild reported that the German government plans to increase military assistance to Ukraine from 4 to 8 billion euros in 2024.

In early November, the German government announced the transfer of another 25 promised Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine. Along with the tanks, reconnaissance drones and radars were transferred to Ukraine.

The total volume of German assistance to Ukraine – military, financial and humanitarian – over a year and a half amounted to about 24 billion euros.
