In Germany, immunization of the population is becoming more widespread.

It became known about the decision of local authorities to begin vaccinating children and adolescents aged 12 years and older. The procedure will be carried out using drugs produced by Moderna and Biontech/Pfizer.

The decision was made by the Ministry of Health at the state and federal levels.

Until recently, children were vaccinated against coronavirus only if necessary, for example, the presence of a number of diseases or on the recommendation of doctors.

After the appropriate decision is made, vaccinations will be given under general conditions at population vaccination centers.

It is known that the European Medicines Agency has already approved the use of Pfizer and Moderna drugs for children aged 12 years and older.

In total, no more than 900 thousand teenagers have been vaccinated in Germany.

At the same time, it became known that vulnerable groups of the population will be vaccinated with a third dose of the vaccine.

This category primarily includes older people and immunocompromised patients.

It is recommended to do the third vaccination no earlier than 6 months after the second injection.

To date, 61.6% of the country’s population has been vaccinated with one component in Germany.

52% completed the full course of vaccination.
