Governors of Amapá and Rondônia will not go to Planalto for a meeting on fires; understand

This Thursday (19), nine governors and two vice-presidents will deal with issues affecting different regions of Brazil.

Vices Sérgio Gonçalves da Silva (União Brasil) and Antônio Pinheiro Teles Júnior (PDT) will represent Colonel Marcos Rocha (União Brasil), from Rondônia, and Clécio Luís (Solidariedade), from Amapá, respectively.

The meeting is scheduled for 3pm and will be led by .

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will not be present. The PT member had commitments in Maranhão this Thursday morning and will be returning to Brasília in the afternoon.

Marcos Rocha is not going to Planalto because he has an appointment in the United States to talk about the climate, according to the Rondônia governor’s office.

Clécio Luís, from Amapá, did not justify his absence from the meeting about the fires. THE CNN He sought out the governor’s office and received no response.

Nine governors participate in the agenda. They are:

  • Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil) – Goiás

  • Gladson Cameli (PP) – Acre
  • Eduardo Riedel (PSDB) – Mato Grosso do Sul
  • Wanderlei Barbosa (Republicans) – Tocantins
  • Antonio Denarius (PP) – Roraima
  • Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) – Federal District

Ministers and representatives of Justice, the Environment, Regional Integration and Development and Institutional Relations should also participate in the meeting, according to the Civil House.
